Full Service Hair and Nail Care We are not just in the hair business, we feel it is important to offer full service to your residents, including nails and skin care.
More than one stylist We believe choices are important. Offering a choice of stylists helps reduce complaints from residents and the need to leave the facility to have their hair done. This means less gas and employee manpower for you.
Business Office & Billing Concerns We handle all financial dealings within the salon. Our punch card system has successfully reduced time spent by community office staff. We are in direct contact with residents or family members and POA's via email and monthly billing statements. Residents can purchase a punch card, with the security of knowing that don't have to carry funds with them to have salon services done.
Our punchcard is an online database that the stylist's use to enter their services each night. (so residents don't have to keep track of an actual card)
Management can access this information immediately from anywhere or anytime by contacting us. There is also a permanent services card readily accessible by your management or family members at any time that is kept in the salon. If there is any question as to services, date or price, it can be quickly reviewed, as everything we do is documented daily.
No more salon closures due to sick or vacationing stylists Senior Salons employs a large staff of stylists, and temporary help who are willing to come in and cover any days for potential closure. If a stylist calls in sick and the day cannot be immediately covered. The salon will be open the following day and all standing weekly appointments will be rescheduled promptly.
Salon Hours Rarely do we hear that the salon is not open enough. Our experience with different facility size and needs accurately gives us the amount of days and times to have your salon open for residents. We work with you on days that are planned for outings and Dr. appt's and we work around the resident's schedules to make sure all needs are considered for availability. We offer more hours before holidays as needed. Our staff works with your activity department to keep our hours of operation updated and information to you.
Appointment Book Scheduling We have found the most convenient way for making appointments is by leaving our appointment book at your front desk when the salon is closed. This allows those residents concerned with making or changing their appointment available to do so at their convenience. We would say that 80% of our appointments are on a standing time, and this is handled through the salon. Weekly standings are booked ahead, and the resident is given a reminder card and phone call. However we are flexible to work with you on this issue.
